The German/Dutch collaboration with Race2win has built three of the first Series Mini in these countries: the 2win650. This new design is the brain child of a consortium passionate in short handed racing.
The 2win650 has a modern hull shape with chines to achieve excellent stability and planing characteristics. The construction with foam composite panels has been engineered to provide high performance and resilience. As with all Series Minis, a fixed keel is required, but this has been given special attention to be at the forefront of the Mini class.
The deck layout and ergonomics of the cockpit are designed to minimise crew fatigue, give protection for necessary rest, and provide for race winning weight placement. Standard deck hardware is from Harken, with selected items from Karver, Lewmar, Wichard, and Spinlock. Race spars and rigging from AG+ with full width curved spreaders are clearly focussed on effective use of downwind, reaching and masthead asymmetrical sails.
